Pound Ridge Democratic Committee Announces 2007 Candidates

The Pound Ridge Democratic Committee today announced their slate of candidates for the November 2007 General Election.

The Democratic Candidates:

Town Council: Elyse Arnow and David Parmet

Town Justice: Regina Kelly for re-election

Receiver of Taxes: Jane Darold.

“The election this year is an important one that will determine the course of Pound Ridge for some time, “ said John Parker, Chair. Pound Ridge has voted overwhelmingly Democratic in the past several elections for President, Congress, Governor and State Assembly. “Folks in town have been actively involved in the momentum that restored balance to government and set it on a new direction,” said Mr. Parker, “we believe that spirit remains alive and strong and we look forward to it bringing new faces and fresh ideas to the Town House.”

“Pound Ridge will face significant challenges in the coming months and years,” said Ellen Kearns, Treasurer and District Leader, “and our candidates have the experience and know how to get the job done.” “We are excited about the quality, diversity and dedication of our Democratic candidates,” said Kevin Foley, Secretary and District Leader, “we look forward to a positive issues-oriented campaign in the coming months.”
