Yesterday Pound Ridge voters and their children joined candidates at the home of Alison Boak and Allan Weinstein for the Pound Ridge Democratic Committee’s September BBQ Fundraiser. In attendance were Town Board candidates Elyse Arnow Brill and David Parmet and Receiver of Taxes candidate Jane Darold.

Also in attendance were Assembyman Adam Bradley, Pound Ridge Town Boardmember Dan Paschkes and Westchester County Legislature Candidate Peter Harckham. The Joe Holmes Swing Band provided the entertainment as the packed back-yard crowd enjoyed the wonderful late-September weather.

The candidates affirmed their commitment to providing Pound Ridge with strong, proactive leadership in preserving our Town’s unique character and spirit. Of course the proposed flight plan changes over Pound Ridge were a hot topic of discussion as children counted the number of planes flying overhead.

According to the Pound Ridge Democratic Committee’s Acting Chair, Ellen Kearns, “this was one of the Committee’s most successful fundraisers ever and it’s a great indication of the strong support we’re getting throughout our Town as we head into the November election.”
