For the Nov. 3 general election, the deadlines for absentee ballot applications and voting are as follows:

• Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 – last day to postmark an application for a ballot
• Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 – last day to apply in person for a ballot
• Monday, Nov. 2, 2009 – last day to postmark a ballot if returning by mail
• Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2009 – last day to deliver a ballot in person to the board of elections
• Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2009 – last day a ballot may be received by the board by mail
• Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 – last day a military ballot may be recieved by the board
